Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. Commitment to Data Privacy

[Company name] ("[Company name]", "we", "us", or "our"), having its office at [Address], [Country], respects the confidentiality of engineering schedule data and user personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, handled, and protected.

2. Complete Local Processing of Project Schedules

Your schedule data never leaves your workstation. The DelayLens Excel add-in performs all of its parsing, CPM rescheduling, forensic calculations, and report generation locally on your PC. No schedule files (XER files), activity descriptions, project costs, or commercial data are ever uploaded, transmitted, or stored on external servers or cloud services.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum necessary information required to provide licensing and support:

  • Licence Administration: Name and email address provided during trial request or software purchase, used to generate your cryptographically signed licence key and deliver product updates.
  • Order Processing: Commercial transactions are fulfilled through our authorized Merchant of Record. Payment credentials (e.g. credit card details) are handled directly by the payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
  • Voluntary Diagnostics: If you use the in-app "Report Bug / Feedback" feature in Excel, diagnostic error logs and system version information are transmitted solely to assist with resolving software anomalies. A report contains what you type (name, e-mail, subject, details), the name of the active workbook, the error message and its technical trace, the DelayLens and Excel versions and the device ID. It never contains the workbook or schedule itself.
  • Licence Activation: When a licence code is activated or deactivated, the add-in sends the code's ID, the licence holder's name, a device ID (a one-way hash of the Windows machine identifier) and the computer name, so that each licence can be limited to 2 devices. Once a day it downloads the list of blocked codes, and it checks GitHub for new DelayLens versions. Valid codes keep working offline.

4. No Advertising Trackers or Third-Party Cookies

The DelayLens website does not use tracking cookies, behavioral analytics scripts, or third-party marketing pixels. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

5. Data Retention & Rights

We retain licensing records for as long as your licence remains active or as required by commercial tax regulations in [Country]. You may request the deletion of your personal contact data or inquire about your records at any time by contacting us.

6. Contact Us

For privacy-related inquiries, please contact [Company name], [Address], [Country], or reach out via our Contact page.
